Thanks to everyone who came to my album launch last night. It was awesome to see so many beautiful people there to support me. I feel very blessed! Thanks heaps to Charles J Tan, Jesse Mitchell and Jo Dawson for their amazing sets last night. Also a huge thanks to Full Valve Entertainment for making it happen. It was great to be able to celebrate my album release with you all. It has been 3 years in the making, so I'm glad we were able to make an occasion of it. Hopefully I'll have some photos and videos to put up for you soon. It was a real treat to be able to rock it out with my band. I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did :)
I see this as the end of one phase - album making - and the beginning of a new phase - performing. Hopefully this will inspire more songwriting too as the album post-production threw me into admin mode and squashed my creative juices a little. In the meantime, I am open to every opportunity to bring my music to you and your communities, so do contact me if opportunity arises. Catch you soon!

Hey friends! I know it's been a while since my last blog, but you'll understand why when you read this one :) The last couple of months have been a transitional time for me. There was a hint of it in my "New Directions" blog at the start of September, but since then things have changed even more than I anticipated!

Although I had quit my job to become a full-time singer/songwriter, till this point, I had never had formal singing lessons. I had sung in choirs since the age of about 9 or 10 and led singing at church for many years, but none of these experiences taught me how to use my voice properly. After about 6 months of gigging and recording, I started to feel my throat responding badly to the way I sang.

Doing this whole Independent artist thing is hard work! I've pushed myself for over 3 years straight now. Has it been worth it? Yeah, I think so. I've learnt so much over these three years it's hard to know where to begin. As I said on one of my Limelight Hour interviews, when I started out, I thought I was good, but man, did I have much to learn!

I am still alive! This winter has been one sickness after another for me. I think I enjoyed about 2 weeks of being well in the last 2 months
. Some of this boils down to the fact that I'm quite burnt out, yet I keep pushing myself... of all people, I should know that is a recipe for disaster.

Hi guys, I'm pleased to announce I have my first ever youtube videos! Last Saturday, I was the featured artist on The Limelight Hour SYN90.7FM. They did an extended interview and I played two songs in the studio. The full interview is now on The Limelight Hour podcast. You can also find my new videos there, but I've posted them in my videos section now as well. Also, just a reminder I'm showcasing all the songs from my new album at Greensborough Christian Book Centre tomorrow night from 8pm. Entry is FREE! So come on down and have a cuppa with me. It should be pretty chilled out. The night will also feature Rebecca C showcasing her original stuff. For those of you who have been following me for some years now, I have a special guest drummer who many of you will recognise from my old band Balaam's Donkey! So come on down for a great night
